Details | The purpose of this study was to examine whether depressive symptoms in junior high school students can be classified into ordered groups by Latent Rank Theory (LRT), and the influence of psychosocial factors (stressors and social support) on rank transitions. As a result of analyzing the data of 225 first-year junior high school students, it was estimated that it is appropriate to classify depressive symptoms into three ranks with order. In addition, increased support from friends was shown to be a protective factor for the transition from rank 1 to rank 2, and increased stressor was shown to be a risk factor and increased support from friends and family was shown to be a protective factor for the transition from rank 2 to rank 3. |
