Details This study examined construction learning by false beginners of English as a foreign language in a high-school extensive-reading classroom in Japan. It was an action research project conducted collaboratively between their teacher and a university-based researcher to solve problems of the students' difficulties in learning basic English constructions such as transitive construction.
