概要 The study aimed to examine the effect of food education volunteer activities and use the results to help determine future subjects for nutrition students. The result of this research is summarized as follows. Although the volunteer activity was an opportunity to demonstrate the technical knowledge and skills of students aiming to be nutrition teachers, it stops short of enhancing the capabilities or skills required of a good teacher; therefore, increasing the number of opportunities to work as a volunteer is necessary. As for the volunteer activities themselves, undertaking periodic training to work as a food education volunteer is required to update professional expertise based on new knowledge.
