概要	This paper talks about the changes in instructional methodology as it relates to low and intermediate level students of English learning how to write an informative or expository paragraph. These changes will be examined according to the personal account of how this instructor originally taught paragraph writing-which led to short-term success but no long-term retention, to an approach which emphasized greater vocabulary development and sentence combination practice. These changes resulted in a greater student understanding of how paragraphs should be written.
