概要 | There is a route for Cd to circulate in the human environment with the mediator of oyster shell waste as a specific fertilizer at the Hiroshima Regional Urban Area in the western part of Seto Inland Sea Area. The amount of Cd in oyster shell, 5.5~6.3 kg/year, is the identity of burden to the terrestrial environment added by the human activity based on a system of recycling oyster shell waste.
The fundamental solution would be to regain the sediment of lesser concentrations of Zn and the Class II hazardous chemicals, which would lead to restore healthy Hiroshima Bay for oyster culturing. This ensures food safety and enables safe recycling of oyster shell waste. |
