概要 | The prebiotic simulations of the submarine hydrothermal vent system suggest that hydrothermal reactions have played important roles for the emergence of life on the primitive earth. However, the yields of the direct formation of oligopeptides from amino acid monomers in these simulations were typically 0.1-1%. Thus, it should not be straightforwardly concluded that the proteinlike mole- cules have been easily accumulated through the primitive hydrothermal vent systems. This study elucidated for the first time that the elongation of (Ala)4 and (Ala)5 is possible in the presence of Ala monomer. The low efficiency of the formation in the previous simulation studies of the hydrothermal vent system is due to the termination reactions of the formation of DKP from (Ala)3 as well as (Ala)2. |
