概要	This paper focuses on assessing student attitudes, beliefs and motivations towards English and language learning. Specifically, this paper examines the results from a 20 item quantitative survey gathered in April 2013 from 133 students registered in eight leveled classes of Eigo I. The most notable results were the central tendencies which included higher values and narrower standard deviations for students in higher-leveled classes regardless of section/department. Moderately significant correlations were also apparent in items related to students' perceptions of their past English language learning, and that of their language proficiency, attitude and enjoyment. The results collected revealed the affective realities of these students which will then be compared in a follow-up survey.
