Details | Objective: The effects of high-resolution audio on autonomic function were examined using headphones.Design: A clinical study.Materials and Methods: The subjects were healthy young persons. The heart rate of each individual was determined using a pulsimeter with the sensor placed on the ventral tip of the index finger and acceleration plethysmography (APG). Heart rate variability (HRV) was determined in all participants using spectral analysis. Results: Sympathetic and parasympathetic nerve activities were significantly more activated by headphone high-resolution audio than headphone high-cut audio. Conclusions: Headphone high-resolution audio increases attention and concentration in relaxed humans. |
