概要	Language courses often start with small talk topics: the weather, sport, food, movies… And continue and end with them, too! This presentation will suggest reasons for going beyond small talk in the classroom, towards "big talk", or self-disclosure: the sharing of personal information, including hopes, worries, and troubles. Following this, we will propose ways of creating a classroom environment in which learners feel more comfortable with sharing personal matters, both in and beyond the classroom.
