| 概要 | This plenary presents the principles of positive psychology, outlined by Seligman (2011) in “Flourish.” Positive psychology is akin to well-being and Seligman’s theory is made up of five measurable elements: positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment (PERMA). The goal of positive psychology is to measure a set of strengths and increase the level of flourishing. This presentation looks at (a) statements used in self-reports to measure flourishing, (b) active and constructive responses, and (c) dealing with negative emotions. Together with anecdotes, exercises, and questionnaires, participants will understand introducing well-being, fostering self-control and grit, and using PERMA in language classrooms. |
