| 概要 | This study hypothesizes that raising awareness of how events are construed in English may be effective in reducing errors arising from the Japanese topic-comment construction. Forty Japanese undergraduates learning English met individually with the researcher for three sessions over a 2-week period during which they carried out pretest, treatment, and posttest activities. Although long-term studies are needed before reaching a definitive conclusion, the study suggests that corrective feedback tuning in to construal factors may promote learning of typologically different L2 grammar. |
