概要 The current case study investigated migrant adults’ identity work in playful talk occurring spontaneously in a classroom for Literacy Education and Second Language Learning for Adults (LESLLA) in the United States. Twelve hours of classroom interaction among four learners with limited print literacy and their teacher that was video-recorded over two months was transcribed. Cross-chronotope analysis revealed that the participant used participant transposition (Perrino, 2007) and embodiment (Soulaimani, 2017) to blur the boundaries between the play chronotope and the class chronotope so that the other participants could be drawn into her alternative worlds.
