Details | This study aims to explore how multiple visual inputs in a typical RSI setting (using two computers each connected to Zoom) affect the cognitive effort required of simultaneous interpreters by collecting their performance data in a lab experiment. The dataset, consisting of the audio recordings of the interpreters’ renderings in English and Japanese along with the video recordings of the interpreters’ body movements and eye-tracking data, is analysed in comparison to authentic interpreting data obtained from the JNPC Corpus (Matsushita, Yamada, & Ishizuka, 2020). |
