概要	本発表は、近代英語を射程として編纂されたARCHER CORPUS (A Representative Corpus of Historical English Register)を言語資料をして､近代イギリス英語におけるRelative Marker の発達を考察した。発表では､Relative Marker の選択に影響を及ぼす linguistic variables の中から、1)Type of the relative clause, 2) Type of the head, 3) Grammatical role in the relative clause, 4) Distance from the head, 5) Position of the relative clause に注目し、その発達を再検討した。
