Details	久米島で「ガイコツパンダホヤ」としてダイバーに知られていた未同定の群体ホヤについて、採集標本を用いて分類学的検討を行った。その結果、本種は新種 Clavelina ossipandaeとして記載された。体長20 mm、透明体に白色斑と4つの黒色斑をもち、白色の横血管、黒い内咽頭溝、10–14列の咽頭小孔列、腹部から内咽頭溝へ伸びる2本の筋帯を備える点で近縁種と区別される。系統解析によりツツボヤ属に属することも支持された。
